fa78d4fed7 Don't pass -d0, except for the tests that actually require it. Suppress global -d arguments for tests that check stdout or set -d explicitly. All tests now pass in verbose mode. 2017-12-26 13:25:40 -07:00

40e7f0e8dd Fix tests to pass on Windows after removing toolset requirements ignore. 
Various restructure of test framework handling of paths to avoid duplicate path editing which caused failed tests. Adjust many tests to deal with added subdirectories in build outputs now that toolset requirements are active.

0c32720912 Cleaned up internal Boost Build dependency_test.py test - made the test script create all of its needed test project files at run-time instead of having them maintained as actual Boost Build project files.

7563ac7877 Internal Boost Build dependency_test.py test cleanup - removed some old and no longer relevant comments (from the time before the <dependency> feature got renamed to <implicit-dependency>), better commented the <implicit-dependency> feature usage, removed redundant ignoring of *.tds Borland debugger symbol files (already done internally in the BoostBuild.py testing system implementation module), minor stylistic changes.

33490566f5 Serious bugfix: for <include> properties with absolute pathnames on 
windows, we ignored dependencies to headers in those directories.

This change is a quick fix, a better fix will follow later.

6ec769bf7f Change <dependency>, so that it does not really add dependency 
unconditionally.

* new/builtin.jam
     (linking-generator.run): New rule. Sets dependency on <library>
     properties.

* new/generators.jam
     (construct): Do not handle usage requirements. Do not handle
     dependency features in any way.

* new/targets.jam
     (main-target.generate-really): Don't create/set subvariant-dg.
     (basic-target.generate): Collect usage requirements. Create/set
     subvariant-dg.

* new/virtual-target.jam
     (subvariant-dg): Take actual build properties together with
     requested ones.

2adc4a8664 Made 'include' adjustment for generated headers work when other 
targets are specified as sources, not only as dependency properties.

* virtual-target.jam (traverse): New rule, returns a list of
    targets, given the graph root.
  (subvariant-dg): New class, to keep all targets for a given
    subvariant.
  (virtual-target.dg): New rule to access subvariant-dg.
  (virtual-target.path): New rule

* targets.jam (main-target.generate): Assign subvariant dg to all
  created targets.

* builtin.jam (compile-action.adjust-properties): Use subvariant
  dg to find all targets, their location, and add those location
  to include path.
